These packages were either not enabled for armel in time for the lenny release or have subsequently turned out to have bugs and been fixed. Most were built from the standard Debian sources simply by adding "armel" to the lists of enabled architectures in the debian/control file, or if other fixes have been made you will find a *.patch file to apply to the standard Debian lenny source packages. The JACK packages here include the ALSA and Freebob (FireWire) drivers that were omitted from the standard armel packages for lenny, and the llvm-gcc-4.2 package is fixed so that it will also work on armv4t CPUs. The libgsm voice compressor is recompiled to use its fixed-point encoder on armel, the same as on arm, which is 6.6 times faster than the softfloat one. To enable them on your armel-lenny system, add a line deb http://simplemachines.it/debian armel-lenny/ to your /etc/apt/sources.list file and then run "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" to get the fixed versions of standard packages.
